I've just finished putting together the most amazing and simple steak marinade, and thought I'd pass it on to you, and let you share in the wonder of the Miracle Steak Marinade. The marinade has been passed on through a network of friends, so I couldn't tell you where it originated from except Gloucestershire, by the way of Plymouth and a possible Greek connection in there somewhere, but none-the-less it still tastes fantastic! What You'll Need

Fresh, local steak - I've used fillet and sirloin, depending on the cuts available at my butcher

2 Spring Onions

1 large Garlic Clove

2.5cm Fresh Ginger

2 teaspoons Caster Sugar

5 tablespoons Soy Sauce

2 tablespoon Seasame Oil

What You'll Need to Do

In a shallow dish, big enough to take your steaks, add the soy sauce, caster sugar and seasame oil

Finely chop the Spring Onions

Finely chop or crush the Garlic Clove

Grate the Fresh Ginger

Add the Spring Onions, Garlic Clove and Fresh Ginger to the marinade

Mix the marinade, add the steak and cover the dish

Leave the marinade for 1 hour at room temp or in the fridge for longer - I tend to make mine in the morning and leave in the fridge for a good couple of hours

When ready, grill the steak on a high heat until cooked to how you like it - Personally I prefer my steak, black and blue

These are also fantastic done on the BBQ served with a fresh potato salad and green salad.

Hmmmm...

The only thing left is to say thank you to those who have passed the recipe to me and then those who I've passed it to, and then those who've passed it on and on and on.....
